Little Miss Inventor joins the Mr. Men and Little Misses!

One year on from HarperCollins UK’s acquisition of Egmont Books (formerly Egmont UK Ltd) from the Danish media group, Egmont, we are delighted to announce our new identity: Farshore.

Egmont Publishing and Sanrio are thrilled to announce that they have added a new character to the Mr. Men Little Miss universe.

Little Miss Inventor will launch as a book in the classic Mr. Men Little Miss range on 08 March 2018, to coincide with International Woman’s Day and British Science Week.

Little Miss Inventor is intelligent, ingenious and inventive. Her brain is full of ideas, which she turns into extraordinary inventions in a shed at the bottom of her garden.

As well as inventing things for herself, she also invents things for her friends, whether it’s a chatter-natter hat for Little Miss Chatterbox or a back-pack-snack-attack fridge for Mr. Greedy.

But her greatest challenge yet has her stumped: what on earth could she invent for Mr. Rude?!

The Mr. Men and Little Miss have been delighting children for generations with their charming and funny antics. Little Miss Inventor is the 36th Little Miss character to join the classic Mr. Men Little Miss library.

Adam Hargreaves said “I always enjoy creating a brand new character for the series and it was fun coming up with lots of crazy inventions for Little Miss Inventor’s home and silly ones for all her friends. It’s also been nice to write a story that promotes a positive role model and to challenge a stereotype, if only in a small way.”

Little Miss Inventor was exclusively revealed by Stylist earlier this week, after a fun teaser campaign where she was introduced as Little Miss Who?

Egmont will publish Little Miss Inventor on Thursday 08 March 2018 in paperback for £3.99, age 2+.

About Mr. Men Little Miss

It all started with a tickle. Roger Hargreaves’ son Adam asked him what a tickle looked like. In response, Roger drew a small orange man with extraordinarily long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone. Mr. Tickle was born and Mr. Greedy, Mr. Happy, Mr. Nosey, Mr. Sneeze and Mr. Bump soon followed. The books were an instant hit and Roger went on to create many more Mr. Men and Little Miss characters. These bestselling books are now continued by his son, Adam.

With over 90 characters the Mr Men and Little Misses have brought fun and laughter to generations of families for over 45 years. Currently, one Mr. Men and Little Miss book is sold every 2.5 seconds worldwide, and lifetime sales total 250 million books.
